Eve Of Joy Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I care for my hand stamped silver plate?
You will want to care for your vintage silver plate just as you would sterling silver jewelry. Silver plate will tarnish over time.  A gentle silver polish with soft cloth will restore its shine. DO NOT use any dips or liquid cleaners as this will remove the stamped coloring.  My favorite polish is Wright's Silver Cream.   I also use a ton of these polishing clothes and stock them in my shop, Sunshine Polishing Cloth.

Vintage photo of the EOJ studio.  It sure has grown!  Wow!
Where do you find all your silver?
I like to call it treasure hunting and I find it everywhere!  I check out thrift stores, estate sales, auctions and I have a few suppliers when I need something specific.  Finding my silver is one of my favorite things to do.  It's like a scavenger hunt.  When I find something really special, I get so excited  and feel this rush!  It's probably slightly obsessive.  I'm a silver plate hoarder.  But I will add it's VERY organized.  I have super high quality standards as well so expect the best!

How is the stamping done and
will it stay there?
Yes, the stamping will stay forever!  Each individual letter or symbol is hammer by me into the metal with a 3 inch long metal stamp on a anvil.  An imprint is made into the silver plate which is permanent.  Silver plate is softer than stainless steel flatware which allows me to make a crisp indentation.  Not to mention, who doesn't love a gorgeous piece of vintage silverware with a history of it's own!

Do you ship Internationally?
EOJ customers around the world!
Yes, I do!  I love my international customers and I always try to accommodate their requests.  I keep my shipping costs low and use high quality shipping materials.  Please be aware of any customs charges or tariffs your country may have as each country is different.  Does anyone know someone in Greenland who would like to purchase an EOJ goody? I sure would like to check that country off the "shipped" to list!
